The children will  learn about the letter Y. We will  listen to the Earobics CD and review the sounds for the letters A-Y.  The class will listen to Two Cool Cows and do an activity for Hey Diddle Diddle.  The class will learn about Memorial Day.

Math - we will review patterns and complete a what's next work sheet.

Science - the class butterflies have formed their chrysalides and the children will continue observing them.  We will do a Clifford magazine about coral reefs.

Please remember to read to your child daily. This will help them with comprehension and add new words to their vocabulary.  It is important for you to have the children practice listening for words that rhyme in the stories that you read to them.  As you read ask them if they hear rhyming words on each page. In addition, it is very important to have the children pay close attention to the pictures to help them notice clues and gain an understanding of what is happening in the story.  The clues are very useful for them to begin to predict what may happen on each page. Please remember to visit the library.
