Dear Saint Fidelis Families,

     At this time, I want to bring to your attention  a very important meeting that we will be holding in the school auditorium concerning the new Common Core Standards that have been adopted by the Department of Education of the state of New York.  We are very fortunate to have a guest speaker from the Brooklyn Diocese, Anthony Biscione,  who will walk you through substantial changes in the curriculum starting in September.  Our faculty has been preparing for the change all year long, and they are ready to go in the fall.  We want to make sure that you understand the changes as well.  I think that it is an excellent curriculum that will go a long way to preparing our students for college and career.  The meeting will be held on May 24 at 7:00 pm.  I hope to see at least one parent from each family at this meeting; it is important.

     This is a reminder that anyone can apply for a scholarship or an Angel Award.  From our website go to the parent column.  There will be a link to the information you will need for your application.  The information is both in English and Spanish.  If you have any questions, please call the school at 718 539 2628.

     Please keep our parish seventh graders in your prayers this week.  They will be receiving the sacrament of Confirmation on Friday, May 18 at 4:00 pm.

STARTING IN SEPTEMBER - FULL DAY AND HALF DAY NURSERY CLASSES.  AFTER SCHOOL CARE WILL BE AVAILABLE.  GO TO WORK KNOWING THAT YOUR CHILDREN WILL BE IN A SAFE, LOVING ENVIRONMENT ALL DAY.
